One of the most common questions I’m asked is why don’t I just use Outlook to send out my emails? [...]

One of the most common questions I’m asked is why don’t I just use Outlook to send out my emails? It is really easy to just write an email and use my address book to send it out.

Here are a few reasons why not to use Outlook and use a ‘paid’ for system.

Your internet provider at some level will ‘decide’ you are not authorised to send out bulk emails and you will not be able to send them out all at once.

One of the legal requirements when sending out an email ‘newsletter’ is that the recipient always has the option of ‘unsubscribing’. In professional system this is managed automatically but when using outlook you have to do it manually.

You don’t know what it will look like when it is received (unless you are just sending a ‘plain’ text email- all email clients will ‘render’ the look of your email differently – our templates are tested in over 28 email clients to ensure that they look just fine.

The idea of emailing your customers is because you want to market to them. One of the beauties of email marketing which most other forms of marketing isn’t able to do for you is provide feedback on your campaign. Open rates, click throughs etc

If an email does not reach it’s recipient, onoutlook you will receive some gobble gook text. On a professional system you will have a plain english description of why it has ‘bounced’ back to you.

Using a professional system there is less chance that our email will be seen as SPAM. How is that? Professional email systems like WizNewsletters send emails out from their own servers. These servers have been registered with other servers around the world delivering email, telling them that ‘bulk’ emails will be sent from them. This helps to keep it out of the SPAM box – but of course is not a guarantee.
